#139 - Pinocchio (1940)

August 22, 2018

A brilliant animated film. It has a moralistic agenda of teaching children that if you work hard and avoid temptations you’ll get ahead. It is another fine example of the excellent animation techniques of the Disney machine and fits into the escapist children's film cartoons of the 1930's that got America through the Great Depression and now the War.
